Personally, I would just change the oil , drive it miles, and change the oil again to get out any of the remaining mess. If sludge was really your problem there are products you can buy and use to remove sludge form your engine. They are typically added to the old oil , then you idle the engine for 5-minutes without driving it. Then you change the oil and the engine sludge is removed along with the old oil.
Be sure to follow the specific application. Using a good motor oil will keep all of these harmful contaminants suspended in the oil , ready to be flushed out on your next oil change.
When engine sludge is present, oil is not able to properly lubricate the moving parts of your vehicle’s motor. Some of the main causes for the buildup of engine sludge are stop and go driving and short commutes. Without any doubt these are the best products to use for engine sludge , especially Auto-Rx.
The buildup is difficult to diagnose because a blockage may not affect the oil level. As the oil becomes sludge , it reduceslubrication, which causes increased friction and damage to the engine.
