In fact I used you and your business as an example for my College Marketing class and wanted to share it with you below. Occasionally, especially when the scooter is used on bumpy roads,. If battery voltage is not present at the fuse, test for continuity between the fuse and the ignition switch.
If NO continuity is between the fuse and the ignition switch, repair the open in that circuit. If you have continuity between the fuse and the ignition switch, the most likely cause is the ignition switch. Scenario: you turn your vehicle on, and the speedometer needle does not move once you begin driving. You turn the vehicle off and back on and it still does not move.
Other gauges work fine on the dash. The check engine indicator light may come on or there may be no indicator lights. The VSS signel is processed by the speedometer head in a lot of cases. If something is jambing the gear train the motor won’t turn.
Do you have any ideas about a speedometer not working ? Should i replace the vehicle speed censer? That would be my guess the input speed sensor , not sure where it is without looking in the manual though. Everything else works fine other then that. I took the truck out about minutes later and it worked fine.
Anyone know whatit could be. Its an with 60miles on it. After a couple days and some searching, I finally found that problem in the wiring connection going to the speed sensor. The problem caused my odometer and tripometer to stop working.
One of the teeth on the wiring harness plug was completely missing. I started my truck pulled out of the driveway on my way to work. No codes no nothing i was puzzled.
So i took a shot in the dark and got that sensor in the rear axle and swapped it out, never had a problem again.
