My guess is the wires or plugs could be ba gap could be off, wires could be cracke coil could be going bad. I recently replaced the plugs and wires hoping the CEL would go away, but it has not.


I have reset the codes as well, but the CEL eventually comes back on with the same codes.

There will be no other DTCs or drivability symptoms present. Interchanged the coil pack with another cylinder and cleared the code but the code returned the same which one would think eliminates the coil pack as the problem. That blog was about the disappearance of the bulletin for replacing the intake manifold to help repair the issue.

A few weeks ago I had a rough idle at start-up and all of the CELs. He replaced the coil with an aftermarket bran changed the plugs (due anyway), and added some injector cleaner. If you have a scanner and it shows one cylinder misfiring you just have to concentrate on that cylinder.
